A PHILOSOPHY OF THOUGHTFUL USE
At La Furtuna Farm in Sicily, more than 12,000 olive trees grow across mineral rich soils shaped by centuries of agricultural tradition. Some of these ancient trees are believed to be over a thousand years old, reflecting the enduring relationship between the land and its botanical heritage.
Each winter, our resident botanist Mimmo and his team carefully prune the branches to encourage healthy growth and balanced fruit development. The olive leaves gathered during this process are thoughtfully repurposed, reflecting our commitment to mindful sourcing and minimal waste.

REIMAGINING THE ROLE OF WATER
In collaboration with botanists and formulation specialists, Furtuna Skin developed a proprietary olive leaf infusion designed to serve as a botanical alternative to traditional water bases in select formulations.
Freshly harvested organic leaves are gently processed using our Soundbath™ extraction method, which uses low temperatures and sound frequencies to help preserve the character of delicate plant compounds.
This olive leaf infusion contributes antioxidant support while helping create lightweight textures that enhance the overall sensorial experience of our skincare rituals.

Olive leaves contain naturally occurring compounds such as flavonoids, polyphenols, and oleuropein. These plant actives are widely studied for their antioxidant properties and their ability to help defend skin from everyday environmental stressors.

TESTING THE WATERS
Our proprietary olive leaf water protects skin against damage from environmental stressors and we proved it. In antioxidant potency tests on skin cells at our Princeton lab facility, our exclusive olive leaf water inhibits free radical formation and blocks free radical damage by 100%.
